Am I a Candidate for Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal does not work for everyone. Generally, the ideal candidate for laser hair removal would have significant contrast between the color of their skin and the color of their hair. It is much more difficult to treat light hair than it is darker.
However, the Optimas Diolaze XL diode laser can successfully treat skin pigments up to Fitzpatrick skin type VI.

How Is Laser Hair Removal With the Optimas DiolozeXL Laser Performed?
The laser hair removal procedure begins with applying topical anesthesia to minimize potential discomfort. This is optional, but it is recommended for sensitive areas such as the underarm and bikini line.
The laser equipment is then adjusted depending on the treatment area. A beam of light from the laser will then be focused on the treatment area to disrupt and damage the hair follicles.
You may experience slight discomfort, but the DiolazeXL laser has built-in safeguards to ensure a comfortable and relatively pain-free experience.
A full laser hair removal treatment requires four to six sessions spaced several weeks apart. These repeated sessions will ensure that the treatment area is addressed at all stages of hair growth.
What Can I Expect After Laser Hair Removal?
After the procedure, the treated area might look red and feel warm, similar to the feeling of a slight sunburn. You may use a cold compress or a recommended moisturizer to relieve this feeling.
If your face is treated, you will be allowed to wear makeup as early as the next day. However, you will need to wear sunscreen and avoid exposing the treated area to sunlight.
