As with any cosmetic treatment, your PRP consultation is essential to achieving the results you desire. At your consultation, one of our skilled service providers will evaluate the hair follicles on your scalp to determine whether a PRP treatment is right for you.
Ideal candidates for PRP hair restoration treatments are non-smoking men and women who are in good general health, struggle with hair thinning and loss, and have realistic expectations about their results.

How Is PRP Hair Restoration Performed?
PRP hair restoration involves three steps:
Step 1: The Blood Draw
The first step of your PRP treatment is the blood draw. Your service provider will extract blood from your arm. This blood is then put in a tube and centrifuged (spun at a very high speed) to separate the PRP from white and red blood cells. The PRP is then collected. This process can be repeated to make sure that only PRP remains.
Step 2: Local Anesthesia
Local anesthesia is applied to your scalp to minimize any pain or discomfort you may feel during the PRP procedure.
Step 3: PRP Injections
Once the PRP has been separated, it is gathered in a syringe. Your service provider will then inject the PRP directly into multiple areas of your scalp.
The entire PRP treatment generally takes less than one hour to complete. While it varies, most patients require three PRP sessions, separated one month apart.
What Can I Expect After My PRP for Hair Restoration Treatment?
While you may experience some discomfort and irritation in the injection sites immediately following your treatment, one of the best aspects of PRP treatments is that there is no downtime.
You will be able to return to your normal daily activities, including washing your hair, after your treatment; however, it is advised that you refrain from dying or coloring your hair until cleared to do so by your service provider.
What Results Can I Expect From My PRP Treatment?
Your PRP results will not be immediate because hair growth is a slow process.
For most patients, it takes six to 12 months after their first treatment to see results. However, once this happens, patients will notice stronger and fuller hair.
After the initial three PRP treatment sessions, most patients require maintenance treatments every three to six months to keep their results from diminishing.
It is important to note that PRP treatments for hair restoration are not effective for everyone. PRP cannot revive dead hair follicles; instead, they strengthen normal and weakened or damaged hair follicles. The potential success of your PRP treatment will be discussed during your consultation.
